    IN FLAMES CANCELS UK & IRELAND TOUR

    We are very sad to announce that the UK & Ireland tour will not happen as planned. As you already know, Jesper is currently at an alcohol rehabilitation clinic and is taking some time off to get better. Peter is about to become a dad. We obviously knew about Peter becoming a dad and originally planned to have a replacement bassist, but with the recent events surrounding Jesper we simply feel that it is not fair to the fans to see a completely different line up, which in our eyes is not In Flames.

    Again, sorry to make any UK & Irish fans disappointed and we hope to make it up to you very soon! - In Flames

    IN FLAMES HAVE BEEN NOMINATED FOR TWO SWEDISH GRAMMI AWARDS THIS YEAR.

    IN FLAMES have been nominated for TWO Swedish Grammi Awards this year.

    The categories are: Best Hard Rock & Best Live

    IN FLAMES have won several Grammies in the past: 2004 - Best Hard Rock / 2005 - The Swedish Government's Export Price / 2006 - Best Hard Rock

    This year's award ceremony is taking place in Stockholm (Hovet) on January 7th 2009 and is broadcasted live in the Swedish nation TV station TV4 between 20:00 - 22:00 CET Now we need YOUR help to vote for In Flames. You can go here: http://vote.grammis.se/ and place your votes.

    Do it like this:

    Scroll down to "Arets Hardrock" (best hard rock) - Click - find IN FLAMES - click the star with a 1 on it - (You also have to choose your 2nd and 3rd favorite by clicking the stars next to the artist of your choice - once done, a window appears - Press ROSTA - another window appears and in the field "Namn" write your name - in the field "E post Adress" fill out your mail address - another window comes up. It tells you that you will receive a mail to the mail address you just put in - if it has not arrived within 10 minutes check your spam - open the mail and click on the link - you have to do that to register your vote properly - you will then be taken to the grammis site again.

    The 2nd step: click "Arets Liveakt (best live) and repeat what you did for your first nomination.

    Koch Records Up In Flames!

    (New York, NY) - KOCH Records announces the signing of In Flames, the innovative and influential Swedish metal band. The band's new album, A Sense Of Purpose, was mixed by Toby Wright (Metallica, Ozzy, Slayer) and will be released on April 1st, 2008.

    In Flames— Björn Gelotte (Guitar), Daniel Svensson (Drums), Peter Iwers (Bass Guitar), Jesper Strömblad (Guitar) and Anders Fridén—was formed in 1990 and has won three Grammis Awards (equivalent to Swedish Grammy Awards). The band's most recent album, Come Clarity, peaked at #58 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, and has sold 400,000 copies worldwide.

    In Flames is one of the pioneers of what has become known as "melodic death metal" and has influenced countless rock bands, including As I Lay Dying, Darkest Hour and countless others.

    KOCH Records VP of Metal Scott Givens says, "Adding a band at the level of In Flames to the KOCH roster shows our commitment to the metal genre. They are poised to be one of the biggest metal bands in the world and we are thrilled to be chosen to help them make it happen."

    In Flames will be touring this spring as part of Gigantour, the annual tour headlined by Megadeth, in the U.S. The bands on Gigantour are hand-picked by Dave Mustaine, and the strong line-ups have made this one the leading metal tours since its inception. Other acts on the tour are Children of Bodom, Job For a Cowboy, and High on Fire.
